Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Technician to join our MEP department in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and will be responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating BIM models for various projects. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
Key responsibilities
Development of 3D models as a Revit user for engineering projects, covering mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient model integration.
Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within BIM models.
Integrate 3D models from different disciplines.
Standardize drawings, blocks, and families in Revit. Contribute to the maintenance and upgrade of Revit templates and libraries, creating Revit MEP Families according BIM standards.
Assist in the implementation and adherence to BIM standards and protocols.
Prepare and manage drawings, generate detailed drawings and documentation from BIM models following industry standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP and its features, including families, templates and standards
Proven experience with other design software (Autodesk AutoCAD & Navisworks)
More than 2 years working within BIM environments
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficient use of English language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field/FP
