Provide advice, planning, design and supervision of all aspects of marine construction works in support of the multidisciplinary projects like dredging, reclamation, shore protection, quay walls, jetties and harbors.
Performance of systems design and engineering tasks ranging from the concept formulation phase through detail design.
Provide design support to senior technical staff in the delivery of structural design for marine related projects
Lead on design of beaches and coastal structures (breakwaters/revetments) with proven experience of international experience
Be willing to undertaken short assignments to site based projects assisting in the delivery of construction works
Designs and oversees testing, installation, and repair of marine apparatus and equipment
Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics
Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop or modify design
Investigates and observes tests on machinery and equipment for compliance with standards.
Minimum years of experience in design and supervision of dredging, reclamation and marine construction works of which experience as a design team leader within the consulting industry desirable preferred
By fully competent in the use of programmes such as STAADPro, SlopeW, Revit and AutoCAD for the delivery of structural design
Being fully competent with MIKE 21 and preferably MIKE 3
A full understanding of coastal processes linking into the design of marine structures
Experience of conducting analytical, environmental, operational, or performance studies to develop design for projects
Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering with coastal or maritime engineering.
Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional status desirable.
