Job Summary

If so we are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our team in Belfast to work for a variety of clients and instructions. About Our Team:

We have building surveying teams across the UK, working together to meet our client's needs. Our Belfast team cover a variety of work from design work through to condition surveys. Clients vary from Local Authority, Defence, Education to private clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will need to be from a consultancy or client organisation with the ability to deliver design projects from inception to completion, including feasibilities and statutory consents.

  • Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is advantageous

  • Knowledge of NEC contracts is advantageous

  • Be able to build relationships with existing and new clients, including within AECOM

  • Condition survey experience, schedules of condition, dilapidations

  • Demonstrate leadership skills in projects, taking financial responsibility for projects.

  • Manages and coordinates all phases of surveying projects.

  • Prepares cost estimates and proposals.

  • Project manages own projects.

  • Manages client requirements.

  • Invoices clients.

  • Completes required tasks with minimal supervision.

  • May supervise multiple surveyors and groups of subcontractors.

  • May manage sub-consultants to work safely and comply with the requirements within scope of work.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in all core Building Surveying work areas especially design and contract administration.

  • Experience of working and building relationships within the private and public sector

  • Previous management of sub consultants and contractors

  • Willingness to participate in work winning and bidding

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

  • Degree level education as a minimum

  • Defence Sector experience would be an advantage

  • Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is advantageous
