AECOM Civil Engineer (Water) in Belfast, United Kingdom

Job Summary

Our established Water team in Belfast have an exciting career role for a Civil Engineer with strong analytical skills and experience in technical delivery of water engineering projects.

As a Civil Engineer within the Flood & Water Team, you will work on projects at various stages of the design and delivery cycle, supporting various design stages of flood alleviation and general civil design projects; including project management, carrying out feasibility studies, detailed designs, site inspections and preparation of reports and technical specifications.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Able to take responsibility for producing and checking engineering reports and designs.

  • Ability to coordinate, liaise and engage with clients and key stakeholders.

  • Experience in managing the technical delivery of water engineering projects, including flood alleviation schemes, drainage designs, flood risk assessments and inputs into public realm projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous design and consulting experience.

  • Previous use of AutoCAD software package.

  • Previous contact management experience.

  • Experience working for contractors in a design and build environment.

  • Experience working in a common data environment digital using BIM software and 3D design tools.

  • Project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MEng in Civil Engineering

  • Working towards Chartered Engineering Status with a relevant body. Eg. ICE
