AECOM UK & Ireland Ground Engineering Practice is expanding, and we have some exciting opportunities at Principal, Senior & Consultant levels across the UK. We would be particularly keen to hear from interested candidates within Ireland & Scotland Regions too. We are flexible to a base. Full time and part time roles are available.

AECOM’s Ground Engineering specialists provide one-stop access to services in feasibility studies, ground investigation, interpretation, detailed design, contract administration and construction supervision for geotechnical works.

We require focused team players with the technical and commercial skills, knowledge and experience to take day-to-day responsibility for delivery of projects, ensuring technical quality and adherence to budget and programme.g commitments.

AECOM’s Ground Engineering specialists provide one-stop access to services in feasibility studies, ground investigation, interpretation, detailed design, contract administration and construction supervision for geotechnical works.

We work for leading UK&I and international clients and have commissions of varying scale across all sectors including projects such as:

  • Thames Tideway, HS2, Neom (Saudi Arabia), Hinkley Point C nuclear power station deep temporary excavations and onshore tunnels, Lower Thames Crossing Ground, A83 Debris Flow mitigation and alternative alignment studies.

  • Network Rail de-carbonisation programmes, Northumberland Line upgrading, York Street Interchange, Scottish Water mains renewals programme, Upper Garnock Flood Defences, Arbroath Flood Defences, Seagreen Windfarm, Moray West Windfarm, Dogger Bank Windfarm and Rockfall Stabilisation.

We are recruiting at all levels – From Consultant to Associate Director Across the England, Scotland & Ireland

  • Geologists

  • Geotechnical Engineers

  • Rail Geotechnical Engineers

  • Mining Geotechnical Engineers

  • Project & Design Focused Engineers

  • Geotechnical Cad Technicians

Minimum Requirements

We require ambitious team players with the technical and commercial skills, knowledge and experience to take day-to-day responsibility for delivery of projects, ensuring technical quality and adherence to budget and programme. The positions will suit those who can work with a high degree of independence, can support junior team members, prepare fee proposals for external and internal clients and lead the input to projects from desk study/feasibility through ground investigation and interpretation to final design. To be successful candidates must have a proven track record in the delivery of ground engineering projects in the UK and be fully conversant with the technical standards that apply.
