We are currently seeking a Cost Manager at Associate level, to be based in our Birmingham office. The role is to provide a comprehensive, accurate and value driven service for large, high profile clients in the following sectors:
Manufacturing and Industrial
To assist Director in leading the cost management team and taking accountability for delivery of all aspects of the cost management service from inception of a project through to completion, dealing with a number of projects at the same time, varying in complexity.
To achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the company.
To achieve the highest standards of excellence in all areas whether it is personal and professional, administrative or technical expertise.
To be active in the construction market, develop marketing opportunities and generate revenue for the cost management team, and where appropriate other teams within the business unit, in one or more of the above listed sectors.
To maintain and develop good relationships with clients, take every opportunity to uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional, premium quality services to the construction industry.
To act as line manager to more junior members of the cost management team and provide coaching and, where applicable, guidance in their work towards a professional qualification.
Ability to successfully manage project teams and project delivery
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key client organisations
Ability to generate business development opportunities and revenue in one or more of the above listed sectors
Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
Keenness to challenge, but in an engaging, non-aggressive way
An enthusiasm to go the extra mile, to provide great client service
