Job Summary

AECOM has an opportunity in our Altrincham Social and Market Research team for a Senior Consultant. This is a full time position but we will consider a range of working patterns. Our Altrincham office is based 30 minutes outside Manchester by road, and 45 minutes direct tram from St Peter's Square Manchester or train from Piccadilly Manchester to Altrincham Interchange.

You will become an important member of this key, yet relatively small team of market research professionals, offering you the challenge of full project responsibility and exposure to clients alongside the benefits of working in a global organization.

As part of this, full service, market research team you will be exposed to the whole research process from bidding through to design and delivery, reporting on a range of interesting projects which can drive change. Our projects are both Qualitative and

Quantitative in nature and use a range of methodologies.

Working together with the wider team, this Senior Research Consultant will be responsible for ensuring that their projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. We would consider the role for a current Senior Consultant/ Research Manager with previous experience of managing a range of Market Research projects.

The role would suit a self-motivated individual with good attention to detail who can be flexible and to undertake a range of different tasks. Tasks would include;

  • Research design

  • Proposal/Bid writing

  • Project Management

  • Client Management

  • Data analysis (Qual & Quant)

  • Report writing/ presentations

Minimum Requirements

  • You should be willing to work both in quantitative and qualitative research although preferences for just quantitative could be accommodated.

  • Experience of research planning and design, data analysis, interpretation and reporting.

  • You should demonstrate enthusiasm for market research with an interest in transportation, be conscientious, well organised and a team player.

  • For this rewarding position you will have strong written, numerical, analytical and communication skills.

  • The ability/willingness to work flexibly, and travel within the UK is also important.

  • Relevant degree and/or professional qualifications required
