Key Objectives of the role:
To improve the value and reduce the risk of the AECOM EMEA supply chain
To improve the ability of the business to make the right procurement decisions, through knowledge of demand and supply, market analysis and application of procurement techniques
To utilise procurement technology to achieve high levels of compliance to the procurement policy and processes
Key responsibilities of the role:
Work with business units to understand their requirements across the region
Develop category management plans based on a knowledge of demand, supply and market analysis
Deliver sourcing strategies to meet these requirements including drafting tenders, evaluating offers, negotiation, contract drafting and implementation
Manage contracts including the use of key performance indicators and escalation of performance issues where necessary
Implement supplier relationship management with strategic suppliers to deliver greater value
Utilise procurement technologies such as Coupa to improve efficiency and achieve high levels of compliance to the procurement policy and processes, for example, the use of catalogues to achieve the no PO no pay policy across the region
Work with business and project teams to develop and implement procurement strategies and plans
Develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the organisation to ensure that procurement is seen as a valued contributor to the success of the business.
Review end to end process to improve management of supplier base, channel management, contract management, enable and improve PO compliance and adoption, workflow and approvals, payment processes and data and analytics
Work with Finance to improve cash management practices, increase controlled spend and supplier payment terms and on time payment
Drive a culture of constant improvement; identify and implement initiatives in order in increase business-wide effectiveness and efficiency
Work with communication and change management teams to build effective plans when required.
Experience of large-scale change initiatives and embedding new organisations and new ways of working
Experience of organising and motivating people in a complex, matrix-managed organisation
Experience of managing procurement of sub-categories of spend such as travel, logistics and office supplies
Ambitious and driven to succeed with abundant energy and enthusiasm
Good influencing and communication skills
The ability to work with and influence a broad range of customers, stakeholders and supply partner staff at senior levels
A passion for delivering tangible and measurable results
Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of identifying and delivering substantial margin improvement
Proficient analytical skills and a measured approach to decision making
A collaborative approach with the ability to maximise the short-term position while building long term productive relationships
Able to plan and manage multiple work programmes effectively

Tender and contract drafting
Tactical cost reduction expertise
Supplier performance improvement tools & techniques
Strong negotiation skills, strong contractual and commercial competency
Degree in business, engineering or science
CIPS qualified or equivalent, with experience of category management, strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management within a large and complex organisation
