AECOM Design Lead Electrical & EV in Den Haag, Netherlands

Job Summary

AECOM is supporting our global client in developing towards a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050. Electrical Vehicles (EV) are being an important part of their business plan. For the coming years our client will further grow their network on Low Emission Fuels and we are currently building a dedicated team with experts for this programme.

The AECOM team in the Netherlands consists of approximately 110 employees and operates from our headquarters in The Hague and from multiple site hubs throughout the country. Representative services include Engineering & Construction, Environmental, Transportation and Health & Safety.

As a Design Lead Electrical & EV you will become part of a growing AECOM Benelux team and are a member of the Project Delivery Team.You coordinate the design and permitting trajectory of the Client's Retail’s Capital Development Programme, following all end-to-end stages and and act as the bridge between Design Services and Construction Services on project level.

Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Being responsible for the design activities associated with the electrical chargers rollout program.

  • Perform design safety reviews.

  • Coordinating the design and engineering disciplines during the entire life cycle of the project.

  • Managing team members of the local Design Services Business Units in the Dutch and AECOM Romania office.

  • Acting as single point of contact for the Project Manager during the project.

  • Doing design work for multiple projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Sustainability, or a relevant field of study.

  • Technical background (5+ years) or an equivalent industry standard qualification that demonstrates an understanding of the design process.

  • Project and design programming skills.

  • Experience in development and implementation of design management tools and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Commercial awareness of projects.

  • Technical knowledge/experience.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office.

  • Very good or professional knowledge of the English language both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluent Dutch language skills are a great advantage.
