AECOM has been appointed to deliver our global client's Retail’s Capital Development Programme in the Benelux and developing towards a net-zero emissions energy business by 2050. During this period AECOM will provide Engineering Procurement and Construction Services to our client in an end to end delivery process with a focus on safety and operational excellence. AECOM is currently building a dedicated team with experts for this programme.
You will become part of a growing AECOM Benelux team with offices in The Netherlands and Belgium and are a member of the Project Delivery Team, reporting to the Operations Manager.
The AECOM team in the Netherlands consists of approximately 110 employees and operates from our headquarters in The Hague and from multiple site hubs throughout the country. Representative services include Engineering & Construction, Environmental, Transportation and Health & Safety.

For our client within the Oil & Gas industry we take over installations during and after EPCM project phase and apply our technical and contract management knowledge to projects with the aim of ongoing performance improvement.
As an Electrical & EV Engineer within the FMC department it's important to listen, validate and work collaboratively to find solutions. Working within agreed team processes, procedures and systems is important to deliver and reinforce on a daily basis why AECOM is the partner of choice to our client. Your effectiveness will directly impact the effectiveness of your colleagues.
The Electrical & EV Engineer supports the contractual deliverables assigned to our scope and develops relationships based on trust to deliver operational excellence that reflect the interests of all relevant AECOM and our client's stakeholders. You also manage contractor performance across (electrotechnical) suppliers, using daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports to improve supplier performance and identify equipment replacement and upgrade opportunities.
Furthermore you manage warranty claims and ensure that SLA’s are assigned correctly. Where necessary you prepare a business case for redefining and simplifying the SLA agreements and set up KPI definition of (sub)contractors. You manage maintenance budgets and ensure contractors supply accurate and timely invoices and estimates as required.
Essential is the HSSE performance and delivery of “GOAL ZERO” safety standards through the contractor and site audits.
Our ideal candidate has a background within Electrical, Energy or Electrotechnical Engineering and preferably knowledge of petrol stations, process safety and automation. Fluency in Dutch is a must-have.
Experience of preventive and corrective maintenance plan preparation is a great added value as are the following competencies:
HSSE – you have the knowledge to understand HSSE policies and standards and the experience to ensure they are implemented correctly.
Equipment – able to understand the importance of the equipment to the customer offer and have the technical skills to undertake root cause analysis of poor equipment performance and to make informed recommendations for equipment repairs or replacement in full process-oriented installations.
Design – ability to contribute to how site and system design can impact effective equipment maintenance delivery.
Cost & Value Delivery – taking financial accountability for the delivery of FMC activities in line with predefined budgets
Procurement Contracts – technical insight and contract management knowledge through supply chain management that will add value to any FMC supplier and equipment tenders
Stakeholder Management – developing relationships based on trust to deliver operational excellence that reflect the interests of all relevant stakeholder
