Our Ireland Roads Team currently has a vacancy for an experienced CAD Technician within our Dun Laoghaire or alternatively based in our Cork, or Galway offices.
We are looking to grow this team with individuals who have a sound technical background that share our enthusiasm and determination to develop our business and develop themselves within the team.
The successful candidate will be an experienced technician, with extensive experience in urban and/or rural road and transportation projects. They will be ready to take the next step in their career taking a senior role in the production and delivery projects and design packages on complex urban and rural road and infrastructure projects.
The role will suit a self-motivated individual who is aspiring to take a role in project delivery and manage dynamic workloads delivering high quality scheme drawings and design packages. The person will need adopt a flexible approach and be able to work away from office for short duration to suit project needs.
They will have experience of working collaboratively as part of a team developing a range of local, national, and international road schemes or similar major civil engineering projects, and will have being directly responsible for delivering scheme design packages, and co-ordinating input from other disciplines.
Job responsibilities include:
Work under the guidance and direction of a senior member of the team and carry out specific task(s) as required. e.g. development of design drawings, preparation of scheme models.
Ensure technical content and quality of output produced is in line with the project brief.
Support the Project Manager in production of deliverables against agreed timescales and in line with budget.
Maintain the various project registers and assist in the preparation of project execution plans.
Familiar with relevant Health and Safety regulations and to promote a culture of awareness within the team.
Coach, mentor, support, and provide guidance for junior design team members and trainee technicians
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others
Show technical competence and through experience, gather and take on board the skills of others in computer based applications and tasks.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant technical standards;
Plan and attend meetings – internal and external, as required.
Participate as a team member on a number of levels, including; office disciplines and projects.
Be proactive and contribute to a safer work environment along with personal, professional development
