Why AECOM.

AECOM's Freedom to Grow Initiative allows employees a unique flexible working platform. The Freedom To Grow way of working is, in a nutshell, about helping employees to have the freedom needed to find the working style that suits them, so that they achieve their full potential and bring the best version of themselves to work.

The guiding principle that the AECOM team Ireland now live by is: if it works for you, your team and your client, then it works for AECOM.

This could mean leaving the office early to train for a marathon before it gets dark. Or, for those that perform best later in the day – starting work at 10.30am and finishing in the evening. Another element of Freedom To Grow is the opportunity to undertake different working patterns each week. Whether someone has worked long days to deliver a deadline or chooses to compress their total contracted hours into a shorter number of days, it can often mean working more one week and gaining time back the next.

Other Benefits of working for AECOM include:

  • AECOM works across all engineering, environmental, architecture, quantity surveying and project management fields. You will be exposed to a range of disciplines, and there are opportunities to work across fields;

  • AECOM is appointed on large, complex and innovative projects, which smaller companies cannot, due to their size, take a leading role on;

  • AECOM is one of the biggest names in design consultancy engineering worldwide, with offices in most countries globally. Having AECOM on your CV will be recognised positively no matter where you want to work or travel;

  • AECOM engineers and scientists have moved from offices of their choice around the world – for example; our Cork office has engineers who have transferred from AECOM offices in Australia and San Francisco;

  • AECOM offers two corporate social responsibility days per employee per year – these can be approved for use for volunteering and good causes;

  • AECOM is a CPD-accredited company with Engineers Ireland, and employees have access to AECOM University and a broad range of courses and training;
