ABOUT YOU

You’ll have the technical and commercial skills, knowledge, and experience to lead projects of varying scale and complexity from opportunity stage through execution and delivery, determining the technical approach, developing appropriate solutions, and coordinating a project team to ensure successful and timely completion. You’ll also be confident in dealing with clients and comfortable with mentoring and managing staff.

Our award-winning team is one of the largest contaminated land/remediation-focused teams in Ireland, working for leading Irish and multinational clients on commissions of varying scale across a range of sectors including commercial development, aviation, rail, power, transportation, technology, chemical and pharmaceutical.

ABOUT THE JOB

We want a Principal Environmental Consultant to help deliver consultancy services to clients across Ireland and the UK. The position will provide exciting opportunities to lead delivery of contaminated land and remediation projects and contribute to the management and direction of the team.

Technical work may include:

  • Environmental assessments – PSA, DSA, QRA

  • Site investigation design

  • Remediation design, implementation and validation

  • Waste classification and excavated soils management

  • Environmental due diligence​

We embrace flexible and hybrid working arrangements under AECOM’s Freedom to Grow policy. While nominally based in our Dublin, Cork or Galway offices, successful candidates may combine working from home within the Republic of Ireland with in-person attendance and site-based work.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A wide range of contaminated land experience, knowledge and skills

  • In depth understanding of contaminated land assessment

  • Track record of project delivery and client relationship building

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and inter-personal skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment
