Job Summary
The Building Engineering Division is currently seeking a full time ICT Consultant / Engineer. The location of this role is flexible.
About The Team
As part of AECOM’s Intelligent Building team the group provides ICT design and support services to complement and enhance the design activities of the Mechanical and Electrical teams. The role covers the design of ITC systems across a wide range of industry sectors including office fit out, mixed use through to multiple government organisations.
The successful candidate(s) will need to show how they can add value to AECOMs offering to the commercial sector.
Job Responsibilities:
Communication Room design
ITC cabinets
Structured cabling
Telephony
Telecoms planning
Wireless networks
LAN switch networks
In Building Cellular
Connected Real Estate
Designs will also need support and interface to other third party Internet Protocol (IP) based technologies including:
Security – CCTV and Access Control
AV and Multimedia including IPTV, digital signage, room booking systems
BMS and iBMS
Intelligent buildings
Lighting control and other MEP related services
As projects move to a construction phase the role requires site attendance undertaking
Client design team meetings
Site inspections
Test result analysis
Witness testing
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience designing ITC systems
Passive Structured Cabling and Active LAN networks with solid industry experience. This experience shall be gained during employment either as a consultancy, end user, systems integrator or manufacturer.
Preferred Qualifications
CISCO certified preferred
Qualified to BICSI RCDD or equivalent
