AECOM are looking to recruit a Remote Sensing Lead to join our Geospatial & Data Services (G&DS) team. This is a senior full-time role with responsibility for developing and growing our remote sensing business to support and address the challenges facing our clients across a wide range of sectors. This role will focus on the analytical aspects of remote sensing, developing and implementing solutions to address the challenges faced by our clients.
You will be responsible for providing technical and strategic leadership in the discipline and developing and implementing a growth strategy for the remote sensing business. You will have an excellent understanding of the consultancy environment and will bring innovative ideas along with the drive and commitment required to implement them. Promoting and selling the capabilities of the team will be essential. You will therefore need to be comfortable in promoting and selling earth observation and remote sensing services to a wide range of clients, both internal and external. You will also be responsible for managing and developing the resources under your management, and in particular maximising the contribution and skill level of the existing team.
Initially, it is envisaged that a strategy and implementation plan will be developed to set the short, medium and long-term goals and objectives for the remote sensing business. This will include a review of existing capabilities and key strategic opportunities and focus for the business. You will have a good understanding of current technologies on the market as well as insight into potential future trends in the sector. You will also have an excellent understanding of existing platforms and sensors and how the outputs can be applied to AECOM projects.
