AECOM Junior Safety & Environmental Consultant in Ghent, Belgium

Our EHS & Sustainability team currently has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Safety & Environmental Consultant to work on various projects.
In this role you are based in one of our Belgian offices (Leuven or Ghent) to join a dynamic, professional team and undertake a wide variety of Safety, Health, Environmental & Sustainability projects for mainly private sector clients within Belgium and occasionally in the wider Benelux region or abroad.
As a Junior Safety & Environmental Consultant you will be involved in operational EHS management, due diligence and compliance auditing, permitting, data analyses, report writing and assessing and applying the appropriate and actual Environmental and Health & Safety legislations.

By participating in all safety initiatives, you ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues and you support and achieve safety objectives through orienting, training and coaching
Our ideal candidate has a Bachelor or Master degree in Health & Safety Management or an Environmental or Technical field of study.
Degree as Prevention Advisor and/or as Environmental Coordinator
Fluent in Dutch and English (both written and verbal)
Consultancy or industry experience and knowledge of actual Belgian Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.
Confidence with working in a team and in a future client facing role.
Willingness to travel to meet the needs of specific projects.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Having both a degree as Prevention Advisor and Environmental Coordinator is strongly preferred.
