Job Summary

  • Inspection of buildings and structures to detect violations of regulations and operation conditions.

  • Acceptance of completed construction and installation works and structural elements following the established procedure.

  • Participation in commissions for inspection of buildings and structures, examination and determination of hidden works quality as per drawings and certificates for these works during new facilities commissioning.

  • Monitoring progress of construction programmes implementation, compliance of scopes, timeframes and quality of construction and installation works, as well as quality of the applied materials, products and structures with the approved design and estimate documentation, working drawings, construction regulations, standards, specifications, health and safety regulations.

  • Checking conformity of the Contractor's on-going works, applied structures, products, materials and supplied equipment with design solutions, requirements of applicable laws, construction regulations, standards, specifications and other regulatory documents.

  • Participation in review of value engineering options emerging through introduction of innovative technological procedures, space planning and structural solutions that ensure cost reduction and improvement of technical and economic indicators of facilities under construction and modernization.

  • Participation in review and approval of design solutions changes arising during construction, prompt resolving of issues, related to replacement of materials, products, structures as may be necessary (without deterioration of the construction facilities quality). Looking into the reasons of delays and deterioration of construction and installation works quality, taking relevant preventive and corrective actions.

  • Checking availability of documents certifying the quality of structures, products and materials used for performing the works (technical data sheets, certificates, etc.).

  • Supervision of the works influencing the facility safety (including critical structures and utilities sections).

  • Technical acceptance of completed construction and installation works and facilities, preparation of the required technical documentation.

  • Checking the quality of defects and deficiencies rectification by construction companies within the timeframe stipulated by the working commissioning team.

  • Keeping records of completed construction and installation works and preparation of the required reporting data and information on the fulfilment of the permanent construction plans.

  • Monitoring compliance of occupational safety arrangements and provisions fulfilment by the Contractor's employees during the works execution.

  • Monitoring of the Contractor's compliance with legislative requirements (including environment protection laws) during the works execution.

  • Informing the Safety Engineer about any safety violations.

  • Performing the Resident Engineer's duties in case of his/her absence from the construction site.

Minimum Requirements

  • Knowledge of construction methods and requirements for preparation of primary as-built documentation

  • Negotiating skills

  • Knowledge of existing laws and regulations

  • Ability of independent work on the project within their scope

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher education (construction or engineering)

  • At least 5-year experience of working on construction sites
