Our Liverpool Roads team in the North West is looking to enhance and enlarge our team with people who have a sound technical background and share our enthusiasm and determination to deliver. We are looking for a Senior Technician to join our team and assist with the delivery of highway and transportation schemes. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the delivery of a range of highways / traffic designs and studies, working closely with project managers and other technical leads.
Principally our work is for local authorities, passenger transport executives and combined authority clients covering all aspects of municipal engineering design. This client base provides a diverse range of projects at all stages of design from feasibility, preliminary, detail design through to supervision. Working on projects from our Liverpool and Manchester offices this role compliments existing roles covering highways, traffic and supervision and will provide support to cross business lines to form, when necessary, a multi-disciplinary team.

Our current portfolio of projects include:-
A wide range of highway improvement works 1.5km – 4km typically incorporating both link and junction design
Various bus priority projects across the north west incorporating both geometric and signal design
Various TRO production
Various signal designs
Way finding schemes
Numerous active travel schemes across the north west including major geometric design changes to junctions
We have a strong track record of providing staff with opportunities and this has led to both growth as a company but also to provide promotion opportunities to staff.
Experience in the field of highways / traffic design with demonstrable knowledge of UK standards including Manual for Streets, TSRGD, TSM, LTN’s.
Awareness of H&S and the implementation of CDM on projects
Experience of mentoring apprentices
Experience of software design packages such as AutoCad
- ONC / HNC in Civil Engineering or similar field
