You will deliver complex projects in a central government setting, with significant heritage, fit-out, infrastructure and engineering features.

Your role will involve independently overseeing significant phases of projects, guiding junior team members, and leading on client and consultant relationships. Additionally, you will support business development activities and contribute to AECOM's team and organisational growth.

Use your experience to take responsibility for our service delivery on large-scale projects.

  • Client-Centric Excellence: Strengthen client relationships by delivering an exceptional service, aligning project outcomes with client objectives and contributing to the business’ growth.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and support junior members of our team in their career development, contribute to talent development initiatives and champion a positive, high-performance team culture.

  • Industry Engagement and Growth: Support bids and business development activities, engage with industry forums and networking events, and take ownership of your professional growth and knowledge-sharing within the organisation.

Skills and Experiences

  • Ability to satisfy clearance checks as required by UK Central government bodies.

  • Substantial experience and technical knowledge in project management within the built environment or construction industry.

  • Experience managing projects with minimal supervision – self-directed and experienced in project delivery.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple or major projects, workstreams and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate leadership potential and client relationship expertise.

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality consulting services, and comfortable in the role of consultant.

  • Able to manage more junior resources on projects.

  • Contribute to the development of our best-practice approach to project management.

  • Experience contributing to work winning efforts and bidding.

  • Be proactive, solution-oriented and adaptable to changing circumstances.

  • Ability to be involved in team management functions, including line management and business development.

  • Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS, CIOB, APM) achieved or commitment to achieve one.

  • Ability to support the development of colleagues, particularly towards professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB, APM).
