AECOM Sr. Product Manager - SaaS in London, United Kingdom

Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager to join our business. You will own a portfolio of emerging AECOM software products and be the critical interface between the customer, the business, our software development team and technology partners. Your initial focus in this role, are two Azure based solutions supporting the business to deploy multiple collaboration and workflow environments quickly and consistently while create a data platform to extract insights from the data within these environments.

A key focus of the role will be on developing highly innovative, creative and scalable solutions. You will be passionate about improving user experience, taking internal and external clients on the digital journey and translating their needs into solutions.

This will be a remote/virtual based position that can be located at a variety of locations within North America or Europe, not limited to those listed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate internally and externally with cross-functional groups in program management, engineering, design, sales, development, and other disciplines to jointly align on plans to build the most impactful products, and then execute on those plans.

  • Fully own the product roadmap from ideation to delivery.

  • Prepare scopes of work and manage internal development teams and external technology partners to complete necessary software development; oversee acceptance testing and approve subcontractor payments.

  • Develop overall user experience (UX) design and functional specifications and requirements.

  • Ensure new product features and fixes are delivered reliably, efficiently, and to full specifications.

  • Create metrics and milestones around feature launches, measuring success post-launch and iterating.

  • Provide insight and feedback from customers and partners to the development teams to drive learning and improvement in industry solutions and digital transformation.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this critical role, you will need to have significant relevant experience in successfully managing software products, as well as in software development in industrial/technical organizations. You will have a sound technical understanding of product architecture to ensure alignment between desired outcomes and product capability. Experience in User Experience (UX) design would also be highly valued.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The midpoint of the salary range is $147,758 annually.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Engineering, IT, Data Science, or similar plus at least 10 years of relevant product management experience, including cloud-based computing and PaaS/SaaS, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including at least 2 years of leadership experience

  • Ability to articulate a product vision in the form of storytelling and visual presentations so you can share the experience with others in the organization, generate excitement and secure business support.

  • Proven ability to lead and influence within a geographically dispersed global organization to build consensus within and outside of the organization at the highest levels.

  • Excellent communications skills, enabling you to bridge the gap between development, design, the customer and the business.

  • Strong customer focus and empathy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with program management processes, design management and/or construction management would be an advantage

  • Post-graduate qualifications would be beneficial.

  • AI/ML and/or engineering software.
