AECOM’s UK Transaction Advisory team is looking to recruit at a senior level, to join the expanding team in London. The candidate will have the desire to contribute to and develop the skills of others, as well as the successful project delivery, client management and building revenues. Key responsibilities will be to bring new Client opportunities and to help in developing AECOM’s Transaction Advisory’s service capability.
In addition to new transactions around economic infrastructure, the Transaction Advisory team delivers a range of base project finance services, including PPP/PFI, Lifecycle and operational reviews, and quasi-development /. property finance.
You would be a key member of the proposed new growth within the team, helping and ensuring high-quality technical reports supporting the current workloads.
Identification of qualifying economic infrastructure projects for delivery through participation in technical and financial discussions with both internal and external clients;
Delivery of high quality advice on Project Finance transactions;
Identification of sector pursuits and where advice can be offered across the Client base;
Attend internal meetings, with responsibility for growth and new clients;
Build and develop effective working relationships with colleagues, intermediaries and other networks to help develop further opportunities;
Develop the knowledge and skills of younger team members to keep technical knowledge up to date and relevant;
Support the business unit leadership team in growth and client strategies;
Actively supervise and train junior consultants as well as business development teams;
Contribute to the knowledge management of the Transaction Advisory team;
Drive performance standards through effective communication and effective use of the performance management process with the team;
Manage the delivery of projects, ensuring effective use of resources to achieve optimal output quality;
Utilise in-house project management systems/protocols.
Specific Skills Required
Experience in Transactions and Project Finance;
Motivated and able to self-manage a wide array of ongoing tasks;
Ability to work collaboratively within a team, often to demanding deadlines;
Excellent communication skills;
Can write clear, concise prose on technical subjects;
Analytical problem solving skills;
Has a strong interest in engineering, technology, business and innovation.
Significant experience in the commercial market with experience and training within project finance;
Proven experience of working on several projects, meeting deadlines and working under pressure within a business unit with internal and external clients;
Excellent communication (both spoken and written);
Strong numerical ability;
Curiosity, awareness and an interest in the fields of science, technology and innovation
- Any finance, accountancy or tax experience would be of benefit but is not essential;
- Degree or equivalent in Sciences, Engineering or Finance, with formal professional qualifications.
