AECOM Graduate Project Manager (Engineering & Architecture) in Madrid, Spain

Job Summary

AECOM Buildings + Places is actively seeking a highly organized Graduate Project Manager for immediate employment in our Madrid office.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, assisting the Project Management team with the following tasks:

  • Managing multiple projects of various complexities, working with international delivery teams.

  • Information and document management, and organization of deliveries.

  • Client interface, preparation of presentations, and coordination and set up of meetings, agenda, and meeting minutes.

  • Project performance control and production of project control documentation: risk assessment, schedules, financial control, list of deliverables, reports, etc.

  • Quality control of deliverables, and coordination of project quality control processes.

  • Stakeholder management, including internal stakeholders and assisting the Design Manager with general coordination of the delivery team.

  • Coordination and management of project subcontractors, including procurement.

  • General assistance in business development tasks, including preparation of proposal bid documentation.

  • As a Graduate Project Manager, the candidate will be joining a highly motivated and proactive team, with multidisciplinary projects delivered across several geographies, with the potential to grow and thrive. Managing diverse projects will provide candidate with the opportunity to learn from professionals working on different fields of expertise, acquiring general knowledge of the design and construction process. Candidate will get an overview of the complete project life cycle, from early proposal stages, throughout the project planning, set up and execution, up to project closure.

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrates initiative, proactivity, foresight, and sound judgement in anticipating and solving challenges.

  • Must be a team player to work with teams, clients, sub-consultants, and vendors while completing large, complex projects.

  • Highly organized and able to multitask, overseeing several projects simultaneously.

  • Must be highly motivated, willing to both learn and propose.

  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships with clients and other key constituents that creates a competitive advantage

  • Strong communication, teamwork, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Understanding and/or experience with BIM environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel and Power Point).

  • Ability to travel

Languages

  • Business English skills: Bilingual proficiency (C-1+)

  • Other European language proficiency a plus (German, Italian, French, Spanish, Polish, Dutch)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Degree in Planning, Design, Architecture, Engineering or Construction fields
