AECOM Electrical Design Engineer in Milan, Italy

Italy - Milano, Milan

Job Summary

This position will support AECOM Milan design teams in the layout and design of electrical systems for a variety of building types: Residential, Data Centers, Commercial and Industrial facilities.

Your mains tasks will be:

  • Work with other design discipline leaders from across Europe and US.

  • Design low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution systems and building services for commercial, institutional, municipal, industrial facilities.

  • Perform electrical system designs including switchgears, switchboards, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, generators, transformers, distribution panels, and other electrical distribution systems.

  • Perform design for lighting, fire alarm, telephone, security and grounding systems.

  • Prepare design drawings including single line diagrams, electrical plans, wiring schematics, schedules, etc.

  • Perform electrical system calculations using power analytical software packages (Ex. SKM, EDSA, and Easy Power).

  • Perform electrical system studies and calculations (load, harmonics, voltage drop, lighting, short circuit, coordination and arc flash).

  • Review and coordinate instrumentations, control system process P&IDs, mechanical and HVAC systems and design its related electrical systems.

  • Develop electrical equipment specifications.

  • Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices.

  • Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines.

  • Perform construction administration services such as shop drawing and RFI review

  • Create estimates and proposals for projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 4 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.

  • Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Revit

  • High level of english
