AECOM Site Technician in Nottingham, United Kingdom

Job Summary

We’re looking for organised, motivated, resourceful individuals who have a flexible can-do attitude to assist in providing support to the Ground Investigation team and wider AECOM business.

As a Site Technician, you will be trained in our established working practices and the primary expectations for this role are as follows:

  • Provide support to team leaders and lead drillers in the physical delivery of ground investigation projects;

  • Tasks will include: Trial Pitting, Structural Coring, Windowless Sampling, assisting with site management and Health and Safety;

  • Reliability in being able to manage your time efficiently to allow for the safe delivery of site works and adherence to project and company requirements;

  • Understanding of the requirement for availability and flexibility with commitment to work 2 weekends in 4;

  • Assist in the completion of site documentation and forms.

A Significant element of the works will be associated with railways and highways and will require regular travel throughout UK with regular periods away from home, undertaking regular night working both during the week and at weekends in all weathers.

Minimum Requirements

Full UK Driving licence.

Possess good communication skills, a desire to learn, take responsibility for quality of deliverables and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Able to travel and stay away for short periods of time

Keen interest in working outdoors and fieldwork in general.

Basic Information Technology skills

Preferred Qualifications

B+E Trailer Licence

Personal Track Safety

CSCS Card

H&S qualifications.

Prior experience of Site Investigations

Previous Railway and/or Highway work experience
