AECOM Environmental Protection Consultant – Geologist in Poznan, Poland

Poland - Mazowieckie, Warsaw

Job Summary

The Environmental Consultant will deliver consultancy and advisory services to both internal and external clients to a high level of technical quality and to programme and budget.

Job Duties

  • Assisting the remediation team with current soil and groundwater projects;

  • Carrying out site works support (drilling supervision, sampling, sample logging, field measurements);

  • Communicating with clients and other Business Lines;

  • Carrying out Due Diligence audits and Phase II soil and groundwater investigations, reviewing data received and preparing reports;

  • Assisting with research which will involve reviewing scientific data, European Directives and Polish soil and groundwater regulations and disseminating the information to the project team.

Specific Skills Required

  • Very good English language skills (speaking and writing)

  • Experience with industrial soil and groundwater projects

  • Driving license

  • Software literacy: Excel, Word, Power Point, MODFLOW (optional)

  • Professional Geological License (optional)

Minimum Requirements

  • Practical experience of environmental science related work, including: auditing, investigation planning, field work supervision, soil and groundwater sampling, field data reporting and interpretation of results, groundwater modeling, remediation planning and risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree or Master’s Degree in a relevant subject (geology).
