AECOM’s UK Environment & Planning team is looking to recruit EIA professionals to join our London teams. The successful candidates would join the UK’s largest team of EIA practitioners and would assist with work winning, team management, and overseeing the delivery of EIAs. We are currently recruiting for Consultant, Senior Consultant, Principal Consultant and Associate Director.
In London and the South-East we have offices in Aldgate, Croydon, St Albans, Cambridge and Basingstoke. We have almost 200 EIA practitioners and large teams of environmental specialists covering the full suite of technical disciplines such as acoustics, air quality, ecology, heritage etc.
The successful candidates will have a track-record of successful project delivery, client account management, and business development. In particular, we are looking for individuals with experience in urban regeneration (i.e. tall buildings, or large scale brownfield development), transport infrastructure, power development, oil and gas and local government sector experience.
We have an enviable client base which includes all of the major property developers operating in London and the South-East, Berkeley Homes, British Land and Lendlease, to name a few. In addition we are working for Thames Tideway, HS2, Homes England and TfL on major projects across the South-East.
AECOM’s reputation in EIA is second to none and we are involved in some of UK’s most challenging and career defining infrastructure projects. We are the leading EIA consultant in the UK and have an unrivalled track record delivering urban regeneration projects in London.
We provide support to clients at all stages of the development process, including feasibility, optioneering, promotion through planning and project implementation. Our EIA work covers a range of planning regimes, including Town and Country Planning applications, Transport & Works Act Orders, and Development Consent Orders.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the following roles and responsibilities:
Manage the technical and financial delivery of EIA projects on a day-to-day basis to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard
Manage and deliver project documents including Scoping Reports, ES Chapters and Non-Technical Summaries and related technical studies, under the guidance of our experienced Project Directors.
Manage technical specialists in the preparation of ESs.
Prioritise project actions and meet commitments on an on-going basis while taking ownership and responsibility for the quality and completion of work
Manage and mentor sub consultants and more junior staff
Contribute to work wining activities and client account management to continuously improve our service offering for our clients through business development initiatives
Experience in EIA and Environmental Management
Experience in project management of urban regeneration EIA projects
A track-record of successful client management
Highly motivated and able to work with limited direction
Excellent communication and networking skills
You will have a good first degree and a second degree in an appropriate environmental discipline.
Ideally you will have chartered status with a relevant professional body or demonstrate you are working towards this status.
