AECOMs HR Shared Services Centre consists of 2 teams providing end-to-end administrative support to both UK and Europe based employees. We are currently looking to recruit a HR Administrator on a 12 month fixed term contract to initially join our busy On Boarding team, based in St Albans, reporting to the On Boarding Team Leader. The team also provides support across each team within the centre and this gives the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills within the HR administration function.
The successful candidate will focus on administering the key recruitment background checks, such as previous employer referencing, right to work eligibility and verifying qualifications to ensure they are completed to meet Home Office and Sarbanes-Oxley audit requirements. Additional tasks include, managing multiple shared mailboxes and providing telephone support to both candidates and existing employees, as well as undertaking additional associated tasks to deliver an all-round excellent candidate experience.
Your knowledge, skills and experience will include:
An intuitive, analytical and pro-active approach to day-to-day work practices
Ability to demonstrate initiative
Experience of working within a customer focused role, with demonstrable ability to deliver an effective service to customers
Experience of working with computerised information systems
Good numeracy skills with a confidence to work with numbers and data
Competent in MS Office suite
The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent administrative, organisation and time management skills, as you will be required to manage a number of tasks simultaneously whilst paying attention to detail. You will also possess exceptional customer care and communication skills as you will be communicating with all levels of employees including the leadership team. A pro-active and helpful attitude, along with a friendly and professional approach is essential in this role.
This role will suit a strong administrator, who has gained their experience within a fast paced HR function or HR shared service environment.
