Job Summary
AECOM in Sweden are looking to recruit a Sr. Structural Engineer with experience in the concrete and heavy steel sector to lead our Structures Team in our Stockholm office!
As a member of a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team, you use your creativity and diverse range of engineering experience to explore solutions to a variety of engineering problems. As a structural engineer, you participate in the engineering, analysis, and managing of various sized infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Preparation of structural calculations
Application of the current local and Eurocodes & Regulations in the design of structures.
Undertake structural analysis and design using both computer & hand techniques.
Contribute to the independent technical review of analyses prepared by others.
Management of project in order to provide clients with deliverables on time and within budget.
Providing engineering leadership and discipline integration of projects delivered by the Transportation business.
Have a desire to learn new skills and the ability to consider the wider engineering issues related to the work being undertaken.
Contribute to the broad range of technical skills that Advanced Structures team possess
Embraces a forward-thinking approach to work, and the development of new technological advances.
Minimum Requirements
Experience in the application of various foundation types, as well as competency in design of infrastructure constructed in reinforced concrete and structural steelwork.
Experience with the use of commercially available design software packages.
Ability to communicate professionally in the Swedish and English language, both written and verbal.
Ability to accurately communicate technical requirements using hand drawn sketches.
Able to decide on the level of reliance and accuracy to attach to results of computer analysis and to interpret results into practical engineering solutions.
Demonstrable track record in the preparation of designs contributing to the delivery of client projects.
Team management skills and able to manage your own and your team's work commitments, whilst working on a number of projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in an appropriate Civil or Structural engineering discipline
