AECOM Senior EC&I Engineer in Warrington, United Kingdom

Job Summary

AECOM are recruiting a Senior EC&I Engineer to join our established and ever growing Water, Ports & Power team in the Warrington office situated on Birchwood Park.

Our Water, Ports & Power sectors primarily focus is the design, management & supervision of multi-discipline projects on all the major clients within the UK, with a primary focus on turn-key solutions to projects often including control system design, building services and direct consultancy services.

The Warrington office is the central office for AECOMs nuclear engineering business sector, although we still form part of Water, Ports and Power business unit which provides opportunities to work in many other highly regulated sectors, from nuclear new build, nuclear decommissioning, clean water, sewage treatment, renewables projects, resiliency projects, disaster recovery etc.

We are actively looking to expand our team with the appointment of a Senior EC&I Engineer. The opportunity is open to candidates from EC&I Engineer who is looking to progress their career to experienced Senior EC&I Engineers who have been working at this level for some time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.

  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignements.

  • Identifies discrepancies in results.

  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.

  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
