AECOM Flood Risk Engineer in Warsaw, Poland

Job Summary
Working on international projects as part of GDS family,
Perform Hydrological analysis using Flood Estimation Handbook techniques,
Flood Risk Assessment and hydraulic modeling tasks,
Driving quality control of the work performed (reports, calculations, drawings, etc.) assuming its responsibility,
Develop and conduct simulations of complex hydrologic and hydraulic drainage and river systems,
Serve as mentor and assist junior level staff/peers,
Conducting complex value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials,
Minimum Requirements
For this Role we require:
Proven track record of working on flood management projects,
In-depth knowledge of and skill in probability and statistical methods,
Extensive knowledge of the physics of flooding events and the mechanics of building vulnerability to flood,
Provide technical guidance and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, using a variety of techniques and models (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Tuflow, Infoworks ICM etc.),
Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Tuflow, Infoworks ICM or similar hydrologic and hydraulic models is required,
Experience with GIS software (Qgis or/and Esri),
Experience working with international regulations and standards will be considered favorable (especially previous experience in UK)
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are highly desired,
Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Civil and/or Water Engineering from a recognized University,
6+ years in Flood Risk Engineering/Modeling.
