AECOM BIM Modeller-Coordinator – EGDC - Structures – Transportation in Warszawa, Poland

Job Summary

Job Duties include the following:

  • Production of 3D BIM project models aligned to project specified BIM requirements using Autodesk Revit Structure.

  • Creation and maintenance of system and loadable families

  • Development of advanced and adaptive families for civil and structural projects, designing parametric functionality using geometric parameter formulas.

  • Production of 2D drawing deliverables and quantity schedules aligned to project specific CAD/BIM requirements using Autodesk Revit

  • Condition Revit models for design/model coordination of civil engineering disciplines using BIM360 Model Coordination/Navisworks following project coordination strategy.

  • Execute clash detection, phasing and 4D simulations using Autodesk Navisworks.

  • Advise and provide support for interoperability procedures between Autodesk Revit and interfacing software packages

  • Work in coordination with other Digital Delivery team members from different GDS offices (Spain, Poland, India, Romania, China).

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of BIM standards and knowledge sharing including Autodesk Revit best practice, through non-project design technology workshops.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years in civil and infrastructure projects working as drafter / modeler; preferably transportation infrastructure projects (bridges, roads and rail)

  • 5+ years BIM modelling with Autodesk Revit, software accreditation will be considered favourable

Specific Requirements:

  • Open and willing to be flexible regarding taking on varied types of work, learn and develop new skills for digital project delivery whilst supporting the project teams with traditional deliverables (2D/3D models).

  • Desire to develop career within digital project delivery and contribute toward resourcing design technology and building information modelling department.

  • Proven track record of BIM modelling with Autodesk Revit for Structural, Civil & Infrastructure Projects attention given to parametric family creation.

  • Proficiency in 2D documentation and drafting using Autodesk Revit deriving drawings from 3D models. Attention given to experience working to public sector client and government transport authority CAD standards. Knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.

  • Strong 3D modelling skills using Revit project files and family templates. Knowledge of Dynamo, Rhino and Grasshopper and Aecosim are a plus

  • Technical design and construction knowledge in bridges and structures design.

  • Thorough experience using collaborative platforms Autodesk BIM360 and Bentley ProjectWise

  • Project Coordination using Autodesk Navisworks and/or BIM360 Model Coordination

  • Medium level in English (oral and written)

Preferred Qualifications

  • University Graduate or similar Professional Education - Engineering/BIM Technician or higher equivalent education in the field of civil/structural engineering Works

  • Previous experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA and Australia will be considered favourable
