AECOM Computational BIM Modeller-Coordinator - EGDC - Structures – Transport in Warszawa, Poland

Job Summary

Job Duties include the following:

  • Create and run Dynamo scripts to assemble 3D BIM model components for bridges, tunnels, roads and rail.

  • Lead Dynamo work on design projects and prepare Dynamo player libraries for technical production team use.

  • Provide advice to the design teams on complex geometry and create advanced parametric families using geometric parameter formulas and adaptive component templates.

  • Production of 3D BIM project models aligned to project specified BIM requirements using Autodesk Revit Structure.

  • Production of 2D drawing deliverables and quantity schedules aligned to project specific CAD/BIM requirements using Autodesk Revit

  • Condition Revit models for design/model coordination of civil engineering disciplines using BIM360 Model Coordination/Navisworks following project coordination strategy.

  • In collaboration with AECOM GDS Digital Delivery global and the EGDC BIM Lead, engage on computational design initiatives and design automation for civil engineering disciplines.

  • Help structural design teams integrate civil design driven data in Autodesk Revit and develop automation procedures for the production of 3D BIM models.

  • Audit and curate library for parametric Revit families, customisable and adaptive.

  • Advise and provide support for interoperability procedures between Autodesk Revit and interfacing CAD/BIM & Analysis software packages.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years in AEC projects working as Computational Designer/Computational BIM Modeller; preferably transportation infrastructure projects (bridges, roads and rail)

  • 5+ years BIM modelling with Autodesk Revit, software accreditation will be considered favourable

Specific Requirements

  • Open and willing to be flexible regarding taking on varied types of work, learn and develop new skills for digital project delivery whilst supporting the project teams with traditional deliverables (2D drawing/3D models).

  • Desire to develop career within digital project delivery and contribute toward resourcing design technology computational design and building information modelling department.

  • Proven track record of computational design modelling with Autodesk Revit and Dynamo and/or Rhino3D and Grasshopper for Structural, Civil & Infrastructure Projects attention given to parametric family creation and advanced Dynamo knowledge.

  • Working knowledge of any of the following will be considered favourable: Revit, Revit API, Forge, Dynamo, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, RhinoInside, Python, C#, Excel, Power BI

  • Technical design and construction knowledge in bridges and structures design.

  • Working knowledge in available opensource plug-ins/Add-ins eg pyRevit, RhinoInside

  • Have working knowledge of BIM Platforms and awareness of Structural Analysis Applications and Visualization Technologies.

  • Medium level in English (oral and written)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Architecture, engineering or computation design University Graduate or similar Professional Education - Engineering/BIM Technician or higher equivalent education in the field of civil/structural engineering Works

  • Previous experience working for Transport Authority clients in the USA and Australia will be considered favourable
